Preorder Dance Card!, Showstopper Cards, & More!
Updated: Sep 13, 2020
If you missed your chance to pledge for Dance Card! during the Kickstarter campaign, you can now "late pledge" using GameFound! Just make sure to select the "Party Person" pledge level and reserve your copy today!
I'm also happy to reveal some brand new cards today, so read on to learn more about Showstopper cards and how they work:
Showstopper cards are mixed seamlessly into the Mix It Up deck during setup. When a Showstopper card is flipped over as the result of a Mix icon on the Spin Dial, the player that flipped over the card gains that card and places it in their own personal play area.
If the active player reveals a Spark icon on the Spin Dial while in the possession of a Showstopper card that portrays two characters on it, as in the examples above, then that player can ditch that Showstopper card to perform the ability printed on the card before taking their turn as normal.
Pay attention, though, because there are also single character Showstopper cards that have the added benefit of being permanent! Since the player is not required to ditch the card in order to use the ability printed on a single character Showstopper card, these abilities can trigger several times during the game!
These are just the first three of eleven total Showstopper cards that will be included in every copy of Dance Card!, so stay tuned as we reveal more of these unique cards!
Okay, on to the next topic... FREE STUFF THAT WE'RE ADDING TO EACH COPY OF THE GAME!
First, we're including four white plastic bases in each copy of the game that players can attach to their student standees to make them stand out among the other standees with clear plastic bases. These weren't part of a stretch goal or anything like that, we're just including these because we think it will make the game even better!
In addition to this, we will also include five new Mix It Up cards in every copy of Dance Card! This is to balance out all of the Showstopper cards that will now be part of the Mix It Up deck, but also to create even more movement possibilities for the standees on the board.
That's pretty much it for now. We will continue to produce the custom Showstopper and Chaperone illustrations, play test each of the three modes of the game, and prepare everything for manufacturing to take place in early 2020.
Thanks again for your interest and support for Dance Card!
